So the University is getting rid of its mascot, Chief Illinwek. It’s not like I care or anything, but it’s a good way to photoshop a lot of the U of I Whores into a rather quick comic. By Friday (I’ll be done with most of my tests and papers) I should have some better quality comics.

During the first days of moving back to U of I, I went to the nearby grocery store. Everywhere I turned, I saw blue and orange Chief Illiniwek/Illini gear. Does everybody have to know that you/your offspring go to school here? It’s not like we knew otherwise….

Seliena the PC FAA Student VS. The U of I Whore.

As many of you U of Iers know, there is a huge debate over the University of Illinois’ mascot, Chief Illiniwek. Many people — particularly alumni who hold onto old traditions — advocate the Chief. Others deem the mascot to be very discriminatory towards Native Americans. The campus is pretty much split. As for me, I’m just apathetic and am taking advantage over the whole situation.

Seliena the PC FAA Student is the perfect character to represent the Anti-Chief crowd, while the U of I Whore represents the latter. Of course, the football team has been sucking the past few years, so it doesn’t make sense to be very proud of the school.
