I liked how I drew Lizzy in this one, although she does look a little bit different in later strips. I had to consult a British slang dictionary for her dialogue.
The band of Jeff’s shirt, the Wenkas, is a now defunct band of my friend, ZCC.
For those of you who are new to the school, the old system of registering for classes was called U of I Direct. Compared to UI-Intergrate, U of I Direct was like playing old, text C++ games. And, as the comic implies, was just as aggravating to use.

The character of Chris Copeland is based of a combination of me and the actual Chris Copeland. As for the brother, mine went to UIUC.
