A lot of Asians on campus (and, unbelievably, across the nation) were outraged by
Matt Vroom’s comic from the Comic Wars. I personally didn’t have a problem with it (and neither did my Chinese editor), but I was asked to draw this comic to — from what I can surmise — trivialize how superfluous the situation was; it’ll show that Vroom and I are, in fact, friends.
It’s okay, though, I saved a lot of money by switching my insurance to Geico. I also had Subway for lunch.

Originally, the immediate day after the explosive deaths of all our characters, we were going to fill the comic page with
“Felicity’s Way” comics. However, because of scheduling conflicts and a lot of controversy surrounding
this comic, the finale (or rather final punchline) of the Comic Wars never came through.
It’s all gravy, however. The Comic Wars were funtastic.

I asked the other cartoonists to draw their characters nude for me. They were more than willing to oblige. Low blow, low brow comic if you ask me, but the masses seemed to enjoy it.

I had to photoshop
Matt Yurkanin’s characters. Also, the resulting leakage of Yurk’s clogged toilet continues onto the very controversial
“I Hate Pam” comic. Why the Daily Illini still has this comic up demonstrates their idiocy. Ooh, did I say that?

Ah, the infamous comic wars that lauched the Daily Illini comics into — well — infamy.
My comic buddies and I decided to have a little, week-long collaboration where we’d just poke fun at each other.
You can see Matt Vroom’s comic on the Daily Illini site.

What’s with college kids building erotic snow sculptures? Additionally, what’s with college kids like Matt Vroom’s
“I Hate Pam” comic more than mine? Oh wait, it’s hot.

So it was all a dream Chris had, including
the entire cast exploding…I wanted to make “Felicity’s Way” to have a five-day run, but everyone was so upset and disgusted by the
four comics, I had no choice but to bring back Sausage-Fest prematurely. Oh well, I had fun playing this practical joke on everyone, and every time I reread the “Felicity’s Way” comics, I crack up.
