The lyrics are from Alkaline Trio’s “Mercy Me.” At the time, the real ZCC was into that song.
In this comic, I wanted to include something with Optimus Prime, “Death Missiles of Annihilation,” and Anime Mecha-style missile attacks.
Day of Silence advocates gay rights and tolerance, and it’s pretty self-explanatory. As the name implies, supporters refuse to speak in order to symbolize the silencing of LGBT students and their rights.
Around campus here, supporters set up a few stands on the Quad. As always there are the conservative, Christian Right who protest and harass the supporters. In this comic, I wanted to both support the homosexual lifestyle while poking fun at conservatives.
This year for April Fool’s Day, the other cartoonists and I decided to make some Mad Lib comics. Make up your own adventure, I guess.
You have to wonder if any of the dwarves made a pass at Snow White. Then again, it’s seven men living together, so chances are they were gay.
Does anyone like Christians who go door-to-door and try to spread the good word of the Lord? Maybe the next time those folks come by my door, I’ll say, “I’m a practicing Satanist! Avada Kedavra!” and then slam the door on them…
